Book 1 students need a semi-private
or ½ hour
private lesson weekly. Book 2 and 3 students will need a 45 minute
lesson. Book 4 and up will need to schedule
an hour. Consider
enrolling your child in our Ensemble group classes to round out their violin
experience. Parent attendance is required at all lessons until the student
has arrived at a mutually high enough skill level to be able to practice without
their partner (usually around 12 years old).

Private Lessons 45 minutes $1343 Sept.-June or $156/mo. for 9 months

These weekly group classes build community and playing-together
skills. Each child should also be enrolled in a weekly private
lesson either with our violin program, or with another Suzuki
violin teacher. There are no scheduled performances for these
classes, but children will be prepared to perform for other
school or community events.
$280 a year
Gather from around the City of Portland to play through
your current and review Suzuki songs. Children play their
review songs from memory. Enrolling in this class for a full
year means that children will have the opportunity to play
all the songs in each book. Four weeks of rehearsal, and
one performance per term. These classes are also open to
Suzuki students of teachers outside our program who may not
offer their own group classes. This is a great community
building activity! Choose either the SW Ensemble at Catlin
Gabel, or the SE Ensemble at the Mt. Tabor SDA Church.

page to find the time and day your group lesson is scheduled. Also available
to first year students is our beginner-friendly instrument payment plan. Instruments
